The battle damaged Exia Gundam
well if you guys watched the last episode of Gundam 00 or atleast interested in the anime it self you would know Exia's fate has turned to this.

long story on how he sacrificed an original FG Exia Gundam for this.
All i remember him saying was while he was painting the solar furnace of the exia he made a mistake and accidentally used gas (note: to clean off a mistake on an original gundam model kit use ACETONE. if you use GAS the color of the gundam will turn white. and use THINNER the gundam will melt) to clean the mistake.

thus with the solar reactors coloring damage he decided to buy a new FG exia and sacrificed the old one to make the 4 year battle damaged one.
